Blooming Grove ISD will kick off Homecoming Week on Monday, October 29th with daily events for students to participate in. Movie Character Monday, Tie Dye Tuesday, Color War Wednesday for high school students and Halloween costumes for the junior high and elementary campus, Throw Back Thursday and Blue and White Friday.
Homecoming Queen nominees are: Johana Cruz, Claire Haden, Kristin Keating, Macie Skains, and Rylie Skains.
Kick-off for the Homecoming game will begin at 7:30 PM on Friday, November 2nd, against the Mildred Eagles. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
Wear your blue and white and come out and support our Blooming Grove Lions!

Our elementary students will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week beginning Monday, October 22nd. Here is a list of daily themes and events:

Will begin Thursday, October 18th @ 6-8PM in the auditorium for high school, junior high and elementary cast members. At least one parent should attend for instructions on costumes, etc.
The following rehearsals will be held every Monday & Thursday 6-8PM for elementary students and 6-9PM for junior high and high school students.
Monday, Oct. 22nd is VERY important because the choreographer will be teaching some of the dance sequences.

Blooming Grove ISD will begin running their regular bus routes on Monday, October 22nd, on the afternoon routes.

Please join us for our BEG Parent Night on Tuesday, October 2nd from 5:30-7:00 PM.

Each grade level has planned various activities and sessions in their classrooms geared toward reading, expectations, and STAAR information.

We will serve hot dogs, chips, and drinks in the cafeteria and our Scholastic Book Fair will be open in the library.

The 2018-2019 Elementary School Spirit shirts are available for purchase!

Shirts are available in two colors, blue and gray, sizes youth small to adult 3X. The cost is $15 per shirt up to size adult XL, $17 for 2X and $18 for 3X. Checks need to be made out to BGE PTO. All order forms along with payments must be turned in to the elementary office by Friday, September 14th.

Forms will be sent home this week with all elementary students and are also available in the elementary office.

The Little Mermaid auditions for elementary students are Wednesday, September 5th in the BGISD Auditorium from 3:45 (or as soon after school as they can arrive) until church time or when we finish, whichever comes first.

Students will sing a verse and chorus of a song of their choice, either from the show (you can find the live musical songs on YouTube by searching The Little Mermaid stage or live), or from popular or church songs, or even "Happy Birthday" or "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," type songs. Then, we will have them grouped together to read a scene, or if their reading level is not at a high proficiency yet, we will give them a show-related scenario and let them repeat some lines and play in character. (Everyone who auditions will receive a part in the play, whether a general ensemble role of under sea creatures or possibly a speaking role, so please tell your kids not to be too nervous about it.)
